We recommend the following layout for your windows when using the Filmet Connect Software
Size Palette (Catalogs) - Place on the left hand side of the screen and extend to the full height of your viewing area.
Ordering/Viewing Window - This is the main work area of Connect. Make sure this is in the center of the screen.
File Browser/Pager Palette - This is connected to the main work area and should be on the right. It displays your files and the pager tool options.
You can lay your windows out however you wish, but please be aware that this is the layout that customer service uses when answering questions.

Sizes
Minimum image size by print size
4x5 & 5x7 - 6 MB
8x10 - 10-15 MB
11x14 - 25-30 MB
16x20 - 30 MB and up
This is the size given under Image - Image Size in Photoshop, not the file size listed in browser windows.
Packages
Save time by constructing and saving your packages into Connect. When you go to order, you can select your package as you would a normal product and drag an image into it. Connect will then automatically populate your whole package for you.
Please note: packages do not support products with multpile image nodes. This includes anything with a background or design.
Sizes Palette
If you close your size palette, you can bring it back at any time by clicking the Sizes button in the bottom left of the main window and choosing "Show sizes palette" from the menu.
You can only order products from one catalog. If you want to switch catalogs, finish out the portion of your order that is in the current catalog, send it, and start a new job for items in another catalog.
Troubleshooting
Socket Errors/Cache
If you are experiencing socket errors when you try to transmit an order with Filmet Connect ROES, try clearing the cache and temp folders on your machine.

Select "Clear Caches"
On the window that opens, choose "Clear both caches." This will automatically close Connect, so be sure to save your order before clearing your caches.
To clear the temp folder in Windows:
Click on the Start Menu
Select Run
Type %temp% in the window that comes up and click "OK." This will take you to the folder where your temporary cache files are.
Delete all files inside that the system will allow Note: Open files cannot be deleted.
Empty the Recycle Bin
Open Connect
To clear the temp folder in Macintosh:
Navigate to the caches folder: Macintosh HD / users / *username* / libraries / caches
Delete all files inside the caches folder, but DO NOT delete the caches folder itself.
Unique Customer Catalog
If your unique customer catalog is not showing inside Connect, check first to make sure your customer code is entered into preferences in lowercase letter.
Editing Images
If you have trouble saving files out of Photoshop when you are editing them while Connect is open, save your order and close Connect. Save your image in Photoshop and reopen Connect. Then be sure to setup the direct-to-Photoshop feature in Connect (see Setup) or retouch your images before you open Connect.
